EXPLORING ART THROUGH NATURE

Ages 8 - 13

Come explore art through the lens of nature!  This course will dive into drawing and painting natural scenes, as well as learning to create three dimensional art using naturally found objects.  This class is perfect for anyone who loves both art and nature!

HAND LETTERING

Teen - Adult

Students will create own fonts & styles from own natural handwriting. Students will experiment with a variety of writing utensils and practice traditional brush lettering.  Complete several greeting card projects as well as a more in depth custom lettering project

How can feminist artwork inspire the way we create?  Young artists will use painting, drawing, sewing, and sculpture processes to create artwork inspired by contemporary feminist artists. We will explore a variety of media to express our experiences as young females in today’s world!  Students will organize, curate and display their artwork alongside local contemporary feminist artists.

Dive back in or learn a new skill. This is a mixed level wheel throwing class with opportunities to learn advance techniques as well as the basics. Progress & projects achieved are dependent on individual skill level.

Start at the beginning with an introduction to wheel throwing basics.  Students will work their way through creating mugs, bowls & small plates and finish them off with glazes to make them truly unique.

DRAWING FOR ADULTS

Learn the basics of observational drawing and use a variety of tools and techniques to build or brush-up on your skills and surprise yourself with the drawings you'll be able to create!

Have you ever dreamed about having an arcade in your room or maybe even a pet unicorn?  In a Dream Room, young artists will work with cardboard, sculpey, and paint to create their own magical rooms where anything is possible!

INTRODUCTION TO METALSMITHING & JEWELRY

An introduction to basic small metals skills including; fabrication of pendants or keychains; and the basics of wax carving and casting. Create custom pendants, rings and charms. *Additional fees may be collected by the instructor depending on size of work and choice of metals.
