Spend your week off learning a fun new skill! Vacation camps at Artists’ Exchange offer campers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the enriching world of the arts and join in on some of our most popular offerings from our summer during spring break.
Vacation camps run 9am-3pm with multiple blocks of creativity, art making, breaks for snack and lunch, with the option for early
drop off and late pick up if needed.
Camp 1: February 18-22
WHEEL THROWING BASICS
Have fun and build your skills with a week of camp devoted to the pottery wheel. Each piece starts by throwing the basic cylinder form then turn it into a bowl, vase, cup, or plate. You name it; you can make it! Add some character to your work with interesting surface techniques and glazes. (Ages 9-14)
Camp 2: March 18-22
POTTERY FOR BEGINNERS
Start at the beginning in this week of camp devoted to learning the art of the pottery wheel. Learn to create a basic cylinder form and turn it into a functional cup, bowl or plate. Finish your pieces with interesting surface designs and fun glazes or make them into one of a kind original pieces that you can now use every day! (Ages 9-14)
Camp 3: April 15-19 MIXED MEDIA MANIA
Explore the world of sculpture! Campers will gain an understanding of basic building techniques while learning how to be expressive using clay, cardboard, paper, plaster, wire and much more. Mix up your materials and use a little bit of everything to create a wide range of 2-D and 3-D artworks. (two groups Ages 5-7 and 8-12)
EXTENDED CARE Extended care is a great option for the busy parent who needs childcare to work around their schedule. Campers in extended care have a variety of activities to choose from including crafts, drawing, painting, games, and puzzles.
Extended care is $10/hr day of, $8/hr in advance, $40 per time block per week. Please contact Artists' Exchange if you need to customize an extended care schedule.
